Mornings on the water don't get much better than this...

This trip was actually a few weeks back but I wanted to share it to get things kicked off here.  This is a small lake close to my house that I have made a couple trips to and find it's very nice having a close to home getaway spot.  Well I'll let the photos do most of the talking.

That was truly a great sunrise.  These pictures don't do it justice.  Here's a quick view in the canoe and it's off to the campsite

Breakfast today is can of spam and 5 eggs...I'd hate to go hungry with all the paddling.

After breakfast I put out the fire and paddled around the lake a bit and picked up a couple largemouth's

This next fish almost qualified as bait.

Well the last couple shots were on the way back in.  That was a great short trip.  Sometimes it's the short trips of just getting out you need the most.
